Nopi

Brand Identity

Nopi (an abbreviation of North of Piccadilly) is the grown-up restaurant from the team behind the Ottolenghi cafés. The brief was to create a brand for a sophisticated environment with a warm, human persona. It had to look cool, but not cold. Our work centred on the golden ring that represents a plate, a reference to the letter O for Ottolenghi and, perhaps, even a halo?

O for NOPI

We designed a simple, clean brand marque with a golden ring that represents a plate as well as being a subtle link to the parent brand. We kept to a palette of white, gold and dark charcoal grey to reflect the restaurant's interiors and used the golden ring on signage, menus, the napkin rings, waiting staff uniforms and even as labelling on sparkling and still water bottles.
